About Aussie Property & Crypto Calc

Aussie Property & Crypto Calc is a free, independent Australian financial calculator website built to help everyday Australians understand the real costs of property, crypto, and personal finance decisions.

We cover stamp duty, capital gains tax, lenders mortgage insurance, mortgage repayments, superannuation, redundancy pay, renovation ROI, buy vs rent comparisons, cryptocurrency CGT, and more โ€” all updated for the 2025โ€“26 financial year.

Why We Built This

Australian financial calculations are surprisingly complex. Stamp duty rates differ between every state and territory. CGT depends on how long you've held an asset and your marginal tax rate. LMI premiums vary by lender and deposit size. We built this site so that anyone โ€” first home buyer, experienced investor, or just someone curious โ€” can get fast, accurate estimates without needing to call a broker or accountant for a ballpark figure.

All calculators are updated as soon as rates and legislation change, and we publish plain-English guides alongside each calculator so you understand not just the number, but what it means.

Our Approach

Free, always. There are no paywalls, no subscriptions, and no account required. Every calculator on this site is completely free to use.

Independent. We are not affiliated with any bank, lender, real estate agency, or financial institution. Our calculators are not designed to funnel you toward any particular product or provider.

Up to date. We monitor ATO, Revenue NSW, and state government websites for rate changes and update our calculators as quickly as possible after any legislative changes.

Transparent. All figures are estimates. We're always clear that our calculators are for general guidance only โ€” not a substitute for professional financial, legal, or tax advice.

Disclaimer

All calculations provided on this site are estimates for general informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. Always verify figures with a licensed professional โ€” such as a registered tax agent, mortgage broker, or conveyancer โ€” before making any financial decision.

Rates and thresholds change regularly. While we aim to keep all calculators current, we cannot guarantee figures are accurate at all times. Use the relevant government authority's website (ATO, Revenue NSW, etc.) for official figures.
